EA Acknowledges Problems with Battlefield 4 DLC China Rising

Battlefield 4 China Rising DLC

Electronic Arts problems with its recent release of the first DLC pack China Rising for Battlefield 4 is so F.U.B.A.R.’d that EA has been forced to release a statement stating that all work on future DICE projects and expansions has been halted until the issues are fixed across all platforms. An EA representative had this to say:

“First, we want to thank the fans out there that are playing and supporting us with Battlefield 4. We know we still have a ways to go with fixing the game–it is absolutely our #1 priority. The team at DICE is working non-stop to update the game.”

The DLC has seen numerous problems across all platforms, with Xbox One owners unable to download it, and other platform users reportedly unable to play multiplayer matches, along with glitches throughout the whole map pack.

Electronic Arts have had a number of high profile problems with games they have published throughout 2013, with users now questioning the quality of software they are releasing. It does seem that hitting a release date on time is now more important than making sure the software actually works. Back in March, the release of Sim City has gone down as the worst in gaming history. EA also came under fire earlier this week for over-pricing their PS4 gaming on the PSN network, although after a fan backlash, the prices were reduced.

On a lighter note, A Battlefield 4 server admin noticed that DICE Executive Producer Patrick Bach was playing on their server and kicked him with the message “FIX THE GAME”.

The best way to let EA know that you are unhappy with them is to vote with your feet people. Back to COD everyone.
