With the other Expendables’ movies being a lot of fun, The third installment looks to continue the trend with Mel Gibson coming onboard to play an old expendable gone bad. Bruce Willis is out, due his ego demanding too much money, although $5 is too much money for Willis’s constant bored look that he wears in all his films nowadays. Along with Stallone’s regulars we also have; Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes and Antonio Banderas.

After redoing the origin story and setting up all the characters…again. The Spidey reboot continues with the webbed wonder facing a number of deadly foes, bringing Electro, Rhino and possibly the Green Goblin together. The trailers look good, even if it all looks a little ‘buy the numbers’ but can they succeed with multiple villains where 2007’s Spider-Man 3 failed?

Transcendence (2014) poster

19. Transcendence

Release Date: 18th April 2014
Director: Wally Pfister
Starring: Johnny Depp, Kate Mara, Paul Bettany, Morgan Freeman

You may be wondering who the hell the director is? Wally Pfister was Christopher Nolan’s cinematographer on five of his movies and is now making the jump to directing. So the guy’s got some clout. The movie plot follows a scientist who figures out a way to download his consciousness into a computer, which starts to make him a little unstable after realizing the power that it brings. This may all sound similar to The Lawnmower Man, but with Johnny Depp playing the scientist, things are looking good.
